Husseini v. Bank Leumi

denial of permanent residents of banking services

Application to certify a class action against Bank Leumi, filed in August 2024. According to the application, the bank denies permanent residents of Israel of opening and managing a Pepper account (a fully-mobile, commission-free account), solely due to their status. The plaintiff, a permanent resident from East Jerusalem, claims that the bank has no right to provide the service to Israeli citizens and to deny it from permanent residents. This behaviour constitutes a violation of the bank`s duties and an unlawful discrimination.
